Base Building

1. Rivers & Bays
Building along rivers and bays is welcome, but waterway access must remain open for everyone.
- Keep Waterways Clear: Do not build impassable structures, bridges, or walls that block boat travel down rivers or through bays.
- Aesthetics: Avoid creating massive eyesores that ruin scenic spots for other players. If your build blocks water traffic or disrupts the area, admins will ask you to adjust it.
2. Large Builds Near Monuments & POIs
Massive structures in high-traffic areas drop client performance and cause lag for players running monuments.
- Keep POIs Clean: Do not build massive bases directly next to monuments or main points of interest.
- Relocation: High-impact builds near monuments will be removed or edited by admins. If you plan on building a mega-base, pick a quiet, low-traffic area on the map.
2.1. Server FPS & Heavy Automation
Our hardware handles most builds fine, but over-automated, highly complex structures can tank server FPS. If logs prove a base is directly causing server-side performance drops, admins will modify or trim it down.
3. TC Spam & Land Claiming
Spamming Tool Cupboards to hoard massive land areas at wipe start is not allowed.
- Active Use Only: If you drop TCs to reserve land, you must actually build on it. Unused TCs blocking nearby players from setting up will be cleared by admins upon report.
4. Base Defenses, Traps & Turrets
Turrets and traps are allowed for base defense, but they must not target players who are simply passing by.
- Safe Outer Boundaries: Set your turrets and SAM sites so they do not shoot players or minicopters outside your walls or off your property.
- Invasions: If a player enters your compound, lands on your roof, or steps inside your base, your defenses are free to kill them.
5. Entity Limits & Deployable Lag
Certain deployables heavily impact FPS when clustered together. Placing multiple connected or adjacent bases to bypass these limits is forbidden.
- Windmills: Maximum of 4 windmills within a single compound or render distance.
- Searchlights: Use sparingly. Mass-spamming searchlights tanks client FPS and ruins the local environment.
- SAM Sites & Turrets: Space out your air defenses and auto-turrets rather than stacking them in one spot.
- Performance Consideration: Not everyone plays on a high-end PC. Keep your electrical and deployable setups reasonable so the area remains playable for the whole server.
